There’s at least four to five eye openers in the graphic, but the one that jumps out the most to me is the one coming from the Bobby Hillbillies:

Something tells me the QBR from the Playoff game wasn’t much better. Also interesting that Ewers doesn’t even pop up on here.
Just as interesting, with Squirrel White and Mike Matthews hitting the portal from Knoxville, the Vowels have been fluttering with rumors that Nico is about to hit the portal, which resulted in the greatest SEC QB to ever walk the earth’s dad to respond:

Heck, yall can keep him. I’m sure he won’t find a better NIL deal anywhere else (I believe he’s sniffing $10 million in Knoxville) although an interesting development from Anderson College:

Saint Swinney is taking transfers? Heavens to Murgatroyd!
If whut those wwl mouth pieces slobber about is true, ewers is off the chart….
Not a fan of Saint Sweeney but getting with the program to keep your job and perform the best you can ain’t a problem.
I’m not sure if Kirby wants to play the Million dollar QB game anymore. Yeah, I know, we got Rashada (which will probably be in the portal again) but I think Kirb’s learned a thing or two about paying Millions to QB’s. I think now he see’s that as more of a divider than a plus. I think he will get the ones who want to be a Georgia Bulldawgs and develop them. I may be wrong.
I do know this (I hear you Senator) but NIL is surely going to kill what we’ve known as The Great Game of College Football. In my opinion it has already and that really sux.
If NIL hasn’t killed CFB it has certainly infected it.
Terminal infection?
I hope not but so many people’s interest (and bank accounts) are waning. NIL is a poison as is the transfer portal (the way it is now..it could be fixed).. The ridiculous playoff extravaganza is a cluster.
The ending of the Go Bowling Military game (NCST and ECU) was a snapshot of what CFB is becoming.
If anyone can figure out a way to manage it, I believe it will be CKS. Dabo tried and has now thrown in the towel.
I think Kirby believes that you spend your effort$ in getting great interior DL to anchor your defense. Almost any walk-on with a heart can run the offense.
“If they don’t score, they can’t win” – Erk Russell (probably)
Portal will get everyone at some point. Granted some who live more by it will have greater down turns from it.
Hard to fault Dabo. He is not a fan of the portal but finally understands he must adapt too survive. He is building the established way of out of high school but now knows he must augment that base with transfers. Smart is much the same but further down the evolution.
Smart and QBs, tricky you dont need a Joe Burrow ’19 year to win it all. But, it doesn’t hurt and you can only get so far on defense, look at Iowa.
Also an interesting thing to watch currently, my understanding is all 3 QBs UGA has ready to play this week are far more in the dual threat direct than Beck. How is this used? The Steeler this off season seemingly signed to good but not generational dual threat QBs which IMO is an interesting experiment given the chance of injury with a dual threat. How does UGA call the offense with the QB run threat in the coming seasons?
Also with an absence of depth at RB for the remainder of the year, it looks like UGA’s hand is forced into making the QB a run threat.
The Steelers this off season seemingly signed two good but not generational dual threat QBs
I hate proof reading in text boxes
Squirrel White must get like three Covid years.
LOL! Isn’t that the truth. I think Squirrel is Reggie White’s slightly younger brother. 🤣
Can that graphic be right? QBR for Nico sub-40 in SEC games seems suspect. And Ewers not even listed? To skew the graphic even more, Arch Manning’s seems oddly high.
Where is Drew Bobo on that list?
