Postgame Freakout!

Okay guys, we made some editorial changes today. It was decided that ee’s game breakdowns would be more suitable for the gameday post. And JP agreed to run with the ND gameday post.

Funnily enough, someone mentioned this in the comments this week… the POS (Post-Game Overreaction Show) that UGASports.com runs after every UGA game. People are able to “call in” and vent their frustrations or their positive feelings coming out of the game. This is a safe place to freakout over the weakness you saw, the strengths you saw. Here’s your chance to get it out and move on with your week.

Now, don’t make me regret this. Everyone is entitled to high emotions right at the end of a game. If you disagree, be civil about it, no one should be called out for just unloading after the game. So, keep it civil and we’ll see how it goes.

My takeaway? Kirby was purposely “hamstringing” his defense to give them some adversity. This was a tuneup for Bama and I don’t think calls and alignments are being revealed yet. I fully expect to see “all in” next week.

P.S.: I’m open to a better name for this post…

Go Dawgs!

  1. May I suggest “OMG! WTH, BOBO???”

Full disclosure, due to a family matter, I missed about 95% of this one, so WTH do I know?

  2. Trap game, as Homecomings go, not as bad as the one back in 93 or 94, I choose to forget the one we lost and seemingly on purpose out of protest (campus rumor).

My only thought is that if a mobile quarterback and multiple offensive motions were giving our defense fits, Bister’s got one for us.

But the fact we have been throwing so much lately…what does that mean? Is he saving our running back room for later? Is he forcing Gunner to grow? It felt like this was another game of testing out a philosophy of sorts. Weird all around.

  3. I already came back to earth. Second half was much better, though we did benefit from two plays that could’ve made it uncomfortable. Luckie’s lucky catch could easily have been intercepted. And Vandy could’ve easily caught that 4th down pass.

  4. We beat a SEC team that has a winning record by 4 scores. Only on college football message boards and call in shows does that result prove the team has problems (I am not limiting that to UGA fans; they all have that reaction.)
The pot bellied guy with the visor and GSP escort has an 85.3% winning percentage. That is tied for third behind Knute Rockne and Frank Leahy in all time NCAA coaching winning percentage amongcoaches who have coached 100 or more games. I figure he know what needs to improve to beat Alabama.
