Sure it may have been baked in, or whatever, but let’s let Mickey cook.

They also could’ve hyped the ACC brand like they did the B1G, and made Penn State the X factor, couldn’t they?

This whole thing is a joke. We might as well, or as my then 16 year old daughter once texted, minus well, be arguing over politics or religion. Everyone sees what they want to see and ain’t no minds changing.
They are willing to take the stand this year because they are confident no SEC team is assured a win against any of their darlings. They are probably right. It’s a year of parity. Win or lose, if we make the playoffs, they’ll do whatever ranking game needed to ensure we play an SEC team first. We must eliminate each other to further the Sith Lord agenda.
Let ’em have it. Forecast for Charlotte tonight: dark, outdoors, cold.
Can Arizona State or Iowa State do anything? “Five highest ranked conference champions”?
Annnd, you think Benz tickets cheap? Go have a gander at ACC tickets.
Yeah, Big XII tickets were in the teens.
Kinda’ replicates those bowl games of yesteryear where, the stadiums where emptyish, players got a goody bag of merch, conferences got a check, casual fan got a nap and Mickey got 3.5 hour$ of commercial time…GO DSAWGS!!
My bad….WTF is a DSAWGS…GO DAWGS BEAT texass!!!
This committee has made a farce of college football and it only took them one season. Manipulated the rankings in order to create a Cinderella story. If the conferences are smart and have any balls they will stop playing championship games. Teams are better off not playing in one. For years I have advocated for a nine game schedule. Now I say let’s go to a seven game or even six game schedule. All wins are equal to these idiots. I hate watching cupcakes but if I were Sankey I’d be telling everyone to load up on them.
Conference championship games aren’t going away unless people don’t watch or buy the tickets.
Follow the money.
You are unfortunately correct. But it works against the teams that actually play the games. In the past the conference championship games were your ticket in. Now it’s your ticket out.
They will go away the first time a team tells their conference they aren’t playing in it because they’re a lock sitting at home. It will happen. Don’t know when, but it will.
Or more likely, a conference will eliminate the game when they realize they can get 2 teams in without it, but the loser will drop out if they play it.
Big urunge kuntry Lulu and Junior do not approve of your “load up on cupcakes” message, the traditional neon “Hot n fresh” dozen is their preferred scheduled event, butt then a few cupcakes for dessert is socially acceptable….
