There was some moving and some shaking this week, and it should be an interesting study in “schedules don’t matter” with our beloved committee of buffoons for the next round of the CFP rankings. Let’s weigh in using the only poll that matters – the Week 12 Mumme Poll. Let your voices be heard…deadline is 5 pm Tuesday so we can reveal our wisdom prior to the Committee’s decision this week.
Mumme Poll Week 12 – Mash Here
Some food for thought for this week’s bonus question in the poll:

I was listening to some talking head yesterday and they were discussing one projected bracket if the season ended today. It may have been Heather Dinich’s bracket (she’s an idiot). Basically, Texas would get the SEC’s bye and Bama, UGA and OM would all be playing road games at B1G schools. If that happens, it will completely prove the committee are blind fools who know nothing about college football.
I see your point, Carolina dawg..but actually it proves that they know a LOT about CFB and are doing exactly what they’d need to do to protect the BIG from the greatly superior SEC. I’m betting they ignore SOS when they make their selections.
They showed last week they ignore SOS when they had us as the first team out of the playoff.
I listen to Dusty and Danny on XM some mornings. And yeah, before any of you say it, I can’t stand Kanell. But I really like Dvoracek and it’s entertaining to hear him call Kanell out on his BS. This morning, Kanell was justifying putting teams like Indiana and Penn State ahead of the Dawgs because “you have to win your games”. Then Dusty asks him why he doesn’t have Army ranked and Kanell said it’s because they haven’t played anybody yet.
It’s this type of inconsistency in criteria that pervades the committee as sell. They decide who they want to see up there based on the “eye test” and then apply either W-L record or SOS willy nilly to justify their picks. And if there really is Georgia Fatigue as someone mentioned recently, then I expect them to use that approach to make us play on the road in B1G country if they can’t find a way to keep us out.
I also wonder if Kirby keeps harping on the committee with his post-game comments, if they won’t try to seed us lower out of spite.
