Apologies again for missing this last week, but here’s the Week 10 results:

How’d we compare to the first CFP rankings?

The top four are pretty close, except for our skepticism around TAMU’s ability to finish out, as we placed them fifth. We gave Oregon a home field advantage while moving the Red Raiders into the 9th spot, and it looks like we have more love for our ACC brethren by including Tech and Virginia in the top 12. We ranked Texas and Oklahoma as definite first two out, though Virginia would be on the outside looking in since the #1 seems to be the cut for the highest ranked Group of 5 team coming in, which we gave to Memphis at #16.
We matched on Tennessee, maybe only because we want our win over the Vowels to remain relevant in the long run.
As for your choices on who was most likely to get snubbed, we laughingly picked Auburn as the most likely at 25% of the vote, because, after all, they are hypothetically better than most of the field, except for the refs.
Your other top snubs were:
- Miami – 23.6%
- Tech and Vanderbilt – 20.8% each
- Texas – 11.1%
Guess I should’ve added Oklahoma into the voting, since they are likely one of the first two out along with Utah (you all only saw them as a 5.6% chance to be deemed a “snub”).
Let’s see how the rest of the season plays out….lots of football left.
Look at the Dukes love!!
