Quick programming note, I rolled back to my past superstitions and did not watch. My phone had to notify me of the win, and I went to the Twix.
Blue Cain finally is starting to show up, and Wilkinson returned to the lineup and was a sorely missed aspect of the team in his two recent missed games.
It was the first win in Rupp since 2009, and only the fifth time we’ve beaten Kentucky in Rupp.
It was desperately needed, as Georgia went from a projected 7 or 8 seed three weeks ago to being close to one of the first four out. Georgia hosts Texas this weekend, and gets rematches against Miss State and South Carolina, with two more ranked opponents, Vanderbilt (away) and Alabama (home).
If we’re going to pick a place to make a run, there’s no time like the present.
Lol. I had gotten to where I wasn’t even checking the scores. Nice to see they grabbed a big road win against a ranked opponent. Kentucky is ranked, right?
Wilkinson obviously drives our offense. Hopefully the Hoop Dogs can stay healthy down the stretch.
They are inconsistent as all get out but dangerous when firing on all cylinders. Other than barely being in the Florida games, they have been able to hang with just about everyone else, so I think this team deserves a tourney invite. C’mon Dawgs, win the final home games and maybe steal another on the road!

PeeWee said pregame that DAWGS would be gunning from the outside. And they did. Much of the time, it looked like street ball. Chandler kept Cats in the game til he went cold from the 3. Teams that contain DAWGS are successful. Those that let them run & gun, WATCH OUT!

When the opposition out rebounds UGA basketball, they will slow the game down or at least limit UGA basketball possessions, hitting 50% (or there abouts) of fg’s is the lone winning formula in the Run n Gun game, UGA basketball gets to the march madness invitational, they won’t get far in the sec tournament, which won’t get them a higher seed and could send them to a far away section…GO DAWGS!!
Only the 5th time Georgia has won in Lexington. 5-66 up there shows how big a win last night was.
Couldn’t sleep so I watched and was pleasantly surprised. If they learn to rebound this team could be dangerous to knock out a team or two should they make it to the dance.
Watched most of it, but cou;dn’t hang on for the end. THey started slow as always, but went on a nice run near the end of the first half. One would expect a guy called Blue to get up for a game in Lexington.
By UGA standards, this has been a very good season. By college hoops blue blood standards, it’s been fair to middling. Considering our historical ineptitude, I’ll view the glass as half-full.
I hope they aren’t teasing this season.
