The wheels came off the bus and ricocheted around enough to knock the whole team out. Blue Cain has been nonexistent in SEC play and Georgia couldn’t transition quickly enough. Teams are learning how to slow down the Hoop Dawgs and that ain’t good.
Sadly, is there really any surprise here? Dawgs ball is what it is. Will take a remarkable coach to make them relevant.
It is so Georgia basketball to get a coach from a rival and the rival’s replacement wins a national championship.
We were due for a come apart.
I wasn’t surprised we blew the lead early second half…I was surprised how quickly the wheels came off and we went into the ditch.
JP you are tireless and I appreciate the heck out of it. This site is an oasis. Hope everyone got through this storm unscathed.
Good thing we aren’t a basketball school.
The remaining games are tough, but if can win maybe 4 more and advance a round or two in the SEC tournament, we should be able to make it to the dance. We got smacked by FL on the road and recovered by winning 3 of 4 games since. And it should have been 4 of 4 but Ole Miss got lucky. Let’s win the home games and don’t worry as much about the road losses and we should be okay. This is a pretty fun group to watch and pull for but they do have meltdowns occasionally. Something to do to get us to spring ball. The games in person are a blast too. I’m glad I finally discovered this in my middle age. Go Dawgs!
I’ve been watching but I have to change to my “basketball rhythm” from my “football rhythm”. In football, when we get up big, I’m celebrating and enjoying it. In basketball, I have to remember that a big lead means very little, especially in the first half. When we’d lose those games, it made me feel like blowing a lead against Bama (in football). I’ve learned to just enjoy the ride and not get wrapped up in the result. Much more healthy, I guess. 😀
And yes, this is a fun team to watch. White has a deep group (except for the bigs – it’s Cyril and then not much else) and they do play hard for him.
Watched two games lives, lost both in bad ways. Back to DVR replays only.
I was there and it was embarrassing. Blue Cain has no interest in playing offense and Mike White left all the shorter players in who got killed on the boards. He also left Smurf Millender in against a 6’5” creature who devoured him. You’d think the name alone would have triggered consideration of a switch. 🤦🏻♂️
