Good morning. Our countdown to kickoff has ticked down to 30 days left!

And, a daily reminder that we are encouraging donations to the Redcoat Band. I had an Ag teacher in high school who loved to start class with: “Ladies & gentlemen, boys & girls, members of the Dixie Redcoat Marching Band!” He was also my favorite teacher in high school. James Coleman, they broke the mold with him.
Go Dawgs!
Should reach 170,000 blog hits today or tomorrow. 👏👏👏
Good job fellas and HBTFD’S!!!
The older I get the more I enjoy the Redcoats. Back when we could tailgate within sight of the stadium, several of them used to come by and eat on their way to the stadium after warming up.
James Coleman … DGD and a damn good man. His wife is a Worth County treasure as well.
Otis what year did you graduate, I had Coleman as well way back in the 70’s. I agree, the man is a treasure, maybe the most joyous person I have ever met. We now go to church together and have become good friends. He knows next to nothing about football though. We were recently discussing his days at UGA in the late 50’s and he said he was friends with some football players on his dorm hall. He couldn’t remember their names but one had a girls name and was supposed to be a big deal. I said Fran? He goes yea that was it, how have you heard of him. He believed the other was Theron somebody. Coleman of all people was on the hall and friends with Fran Tarkenton and Theron Sapp. I explained that they were in fact “kind of big deals” and he says “I often wondered what happened to those boys. Unbelievable!
Don, I gragitated in 83, 1 year ahead of ee. I had classes with Mr. Coleman my entire 3 years at the high school (IYKYK). I loved working in his greenhouse. I was in FFA and he was our sponsor. That man is so funny and a joy to be around. I still use some of his sayings today and I remember more stories from high school that involve him more than anyone else.
3 years, Otis. I’m Class of ’86.
oh! My bad. I drank a lot in high school! I DJ’d y’all’s senior homecoming dance. My very first paying job as a DJ!
Dayuuuummmm, might hit 172,000 today!!
I think we have Dawgbone to thank for the influx of traffic. Now, we just have to keep them coming back!
Now I understand. About time the Dawgbone threw some love this way. Don’t know why, but the Dawgbone is a far cry from what it used to be. Maybe they’re getting better. Hope so!!
They’re a-okay in my book! 😜

Thank you! Pull up a seat and stay awhile!
Welcome! We are polite, snarky and fairly old. Our founder has passed but his legend lives on. We are generally polite, love music, beer and BBQ. We enjoy each other’s company and try to ignore Derek (IFKYK). 😜 Game days and post game analysis is our best. Enjoy!
