In the meantime, how about a daily discussion post for general discussion of the day? As per the Senator’s example, please keep it civil and apolitical. Go Dawgs!

Just saw that Scott Cochran is no longer on staff. Hope he’s doing OK, he had some health issues back in 2021.
Wow. That’s pretty big news. When Cochran was on leave, Boom held his spot for him as special teams coordinator. I wonder if he’ll be brought in to cover now. Odd timing on this.
I think I read somewhere that he and another staffer resigned. Seems like this has been happening in recent years. The work schedule must be more grueling than I can imagine.
Seems like I read today that he left in 2021 to “get some things in order” and came back in 2022 to an off field role while keeping the Co-ord title. Sounds like some deep personal shit there.
Health issues were alcohol and drugs…I know cause I know
ESPN and CFP closed deal to have exclusive rights to the playoff games through 2031 for $1.3B. Sniff Sniff I smell increased cable rights fees and streaming only broadcasts in the very near future to pay for this. Could we see an ESPN Club for high roller donors to pay $10,000 per year for exclusive viewing rights? Sounds absurd now, but just where do you all think this is eventually headed especially if players become employees and the cost to schools for paying for all of this continues to increase substantially?
P.S. This is my feeble attempt to write a post-type article. Hit “Like” if you think I’m an idiot. Looking to set a record. 😜
I wish this was an idiotic thought, but something along those lines sounds logical and, unfortunately, likely.
Along those lines, I was nauseated having to watch & hear the CBS music in their SuperBowl ads about upcoming 3:30 Big 10 games when it should’ve been the SEC. Not much love here for ESPN.
Hello radio!
Don’t know where it’s headed, but … can’t be good, I can tell ya that! (said Idella to Hoke)
I’m thinking its gonna look a bit more like PPV -or- at least subscription-based with fees. Sports is really the only LIVE TV (except for maybe News) that people will pay to see in real time.
Mandel mentions the Senator in his mailbag today. First Class from Stewart. $$ https://theathletic.com/5274294/2024/02/14/college-football-playoff-espn-ucla-coach-deshaun-foster/

Sooo, looks like, in order to “display” tweets, a plugin needs to be installed. In order to install plugins, the WordPress plan has to be upgraded to Creator which is a $300 annual charge. So, don’t expect your tweets to “display” when you post a link. I’ll look into upgrading WordPress down the road, not the time right now.
Wise. Let’s see the which direction this needs to go first, then set-up a GoFundMe or other means for us to chip in.
😂🤣
Guys, if this is a general blog, can we maybe talk about a tailgate get together on G-day?
Here is my post on that from GTP:

Not to buck City Hall or anything, but what if we were to gather for G-Day? Parking won’t be nearly the challenge it will be during the season. Some of us don’t really need to walk big distances uphill, ya’ know!? Doesn’t necessarily need to be in lieu of 9/7.
Just food for thought…
Sounds interesting, I might be able to swing that. Has a date been announced yet? A quick search shows me nothing?
I believe it’s usually the week after Master’s, which falls on the 15th, so perhaps the following weekend?
