The 40 Watt! Seen Driveby Truckers there more times than I can even keep up with. Saw Whiskey Myers there in an absolute barn burner of a show. I’ve seen Futurebirds play there. Saw Dave Mahr who once lead the excellent Athens country band The Star Room Boys play there. I’ve seen Don Chambers play there twice. Drank a bunch of big beers there and got some good musical memories tied to that place.

Just saw DBT on Friday night at The Fillmore in Charlotte. Southern Rock Opera Revisited tour. Out of the 10 times I’ve seen them, this was top 3. Huge energy in the room.
That’s awesome. I would love to be at one of these SRO shows but just wasn’t able to make it happen. I’m really glad they’re doing it. Patterson sort of seemed embarrassed by it there for a while. I’m glad he got over it.
Hell I’m so old I went to the Georgia Theater when it was a movie theater.
