The last time the Dawgs were ranked was *checks notes* a one week stint at #24 during the 2010-11 Mark Fox regime. Prior to…the 2002-2003 season…under Jim Harrick and the Hayes brothers, which spent ten weeks in the top 25 and finished 25th for the season.

Looks like the SEC is becoming the basketball league.
Tough week coming up. Unlikely we’re still ranked next week, or for a few weeks, in all likelihood. But it’s nice of the basketball writers to acknowledge the team’s success. Just gotta win 5 more games to make the tourney.
Yes, I don’t like our chances at Tennessee, but we have a decent shot against Auburn in Athens, I know Auburn is top ranked, but their best player will likely be out with an ankle injury. Whatever it takes! I say winning one of those and playing the other close is enough to keep the ranking.
If we split these two I agree we’ll remain ranked. It’s tough to play these two back-to-back though.
Having a brutal schedule is becoming a Georgia thing
I think just about every team in the SEC has a tough schedule. It is similar to the depth of the league in baseball.
This is a fun team to watch. And they’re solid. Great guard play, dominant interior players, and depth. And Newell is a STUD. I’m going to enjoy this season.

I know the feeling. We actually look like an SEC team size wise, which has been my gripe for a decade it feels like.
