If you didn’t already know it, today would be a great day to stay off social media. Rumors are swirling and trolls are equating the events in NOLA last night with jokes about Georgia’s issues with driving incidents. Not a good look.

Hard to say what’s true or not at this point, but if they are finding more credible threats, the Sugar Bowl should be the farthest thing from anyone’s mind today in New Orleans.
Prayers for everyone there and that any additional threats are neutralized and everyone remains safe.

I think it is true that it will be postponed. I saw NOLA news reports saying it and Cody Alcorn reporter who was an anchor in Greenville and now reports in Atlanta reported that it will be postponed. He does not report rumors.
Until it comes from FBI and other official sources I’ll be tuning in.

Terrible situation, prayers for those impacted. I have no urge anymore to go into crowded events like New Years celebrations, or other major holiday celebrations between the crowds and now the risk of things like this.
I assume the Gator Bowl will be bumped to ESPN2 and the skycast of the Sugar cancelled.
Seems like the rumors are that the game will be at 8:45 eastern time. I assume that means no change to the broadcast.
Gator was (or is) a 7:30 kick off ESPN which would still be running when the Sugar kicks off at 8:45. Something will have to shuffle if ESPN wants the regular broadcast, the mulit screen broadcast, and SEC broadcast with radio.
The SEC Network is not showing the bowl game with home radio.

Is the SEC Network radio cast cancelled? I kind of assumed it would be with other sports playing but, football does pay the bills. They had planned to air tonight UGA radio tonight and Texas radio coverage is on now.
I am assuming they will likely have the hometown radio feed for the Sugar Bowl tomorrow night.
Wonder how the schedule has changed for the team?
My other question is does the winner of the UGA/ND game play in the Friday playoff game and winner of today’s game play in the Thursday game?

Many of the brackets didn’t list the next game locations so I thought highest ranked team might have a choice. But, you’re correct and ESPN has the full bracket. I hadn’t put that much focus on time / place just who was in the bracket.
I’m guessing they’ll do a walkthrough and some team meetings plus find time for these guys to rest and just hang out. I read both team hotels are on a full lockdown.

I am at a loss. I don’t want to or think we should postpone because of what happened on the principle that giving the power to dictate what and how we go about our lives to fucking cowards that kill innocents makes us sheep.
They did it because the city is using the police that would have worked the game to do a sweep to identify if other IEDs are in the city.
