It is 12:08am, Sunday, June 14, 2026 as I type this and Them Diamond Dawgs is Hell, Don’t They? What a performance by Joey Volchko. Complete game, 15 Ks, 1 unearned run. His first complete game and highest strikeout total of his college career. Couldn’t have picked a better time to do it. Dawgs can relax until Monday night when the battle of the Branches will take place as the Dawgs will face Oklahoma in the Winner’s Bracket.

Thankful for the great athletes and coaches we have. Reading these old football cards, it’s amazing that even the all conference and All Americans of a few decades ago would not be big enough to ‘play’ these days.
