Good morning!
I hope everyone is enjoying the long holiday weekend! Everyone still have 10 fingers and 10 toes? If so, you didn’t do it right! ‘Merica! We’re still counting down to football. There’s 56 days to go and that brings us to card #156:

Go Dawgs!
Trippi was one of the finest players in the sport from the single platoon era. I know people (including me) have recency bias when discussing the greats of Georgia football, but Mr. Trippi is one who should be on Mount Dawgmore of the 4 all-time giants of Georgia football.
For me, that’s Herschel, Trippi, Bowers and Pollack.
I remember during the 1980 season when Walker burst onto the scene there were a lot of Bulldog fans in their 60s who saw Trippi in person. I heard time and time again from those folks that as great as 34 is Trippi was even better. Many said Trippi was even greater as a safety than he was as a ball carrier.
No Sinkwich? That’s a bold move!
I wanted one defensive guy and was torn between Pollack and Champ.
Swap Sinkwich for Pollack for my Rushmore.
That’s totally fair. I felt a defensive player should be there, and a 3-time All-America did it for me.
4 might be to many on Mount Dawgmore…25 might not be enough…GO DAWGS!!
I had the honor of introducing Mr. Trippi at one of our 1980 touchdown club meetings. He was an excellent speaker.
how in god’s name is trippi not card 2 or 3?
Seems to be a completely random order. We’ve already passed Herschel.
European committee believes we will have 1 loss… and somehow the barn beats us…
kirby plays 3d chess & we march into sec championship on fire, auburn finishes 6-6 & gets to b’ham bowl, and pga tour member sleezebag saves his job… the tigles continue to exist as a basketball school
