Hey… George’s daughter was my son’s 8U baseball coach about 12 years ago. Mr. George works in the pro shop at Houston Lake Country Club now after retiring from coaching highschool football. Super nice guy. His grandson is a TE at West Georgia and was on the Perry High team that won the AAAA State Title a few years ago.
Thank you for that info. I remember him from around campus my last 2 years of undergrad and 1st 2 years of Law school. I didn’t really know him . I am glad he had a happy and successful post football life.
His brother Bobby was a fraternity brother of mine. Bobby was also a team manager for the Herschel-era Dawgs.

6-4 225 and an offensive guard. Wow. Had to have some skill to play pros at that size….perhaps he bulked up a bit in the NFL.
