Countdown to Georgia Bulldogs Football, 3 Days

Good morning! We’re whittling down the days now, 3 to go. Anyone getting excited yet? Know what I’m excited about? Not having to scan football cards on the PC for almost a year. I won’t be counting the days down to that, you can be assured. Nah, it’s been fun (and sometimes confusing, for me) doing this and we got some conversation pieces to talk about as we whiled away the days waiting.

A little change for the countdown tomorrow, we’ll have a Game Day (ND) post tomorrow and through the weekend. So this will come out a little later in the day for the next few days.

Here is card #103:

Go Dawgs!

  1. Nat Dye played for Georgia in the 1950s. That picture is a game photo from the 1970s.

    • Nat was the middle brother between Wayne and Pat. I played a lot of golf with Nat at Augusta Country Club back in the day. He was a great guy and a lot of fun on the golf course!

  2. BTW, thanks for doing this! It’s a great and fun way to count down the time. And it’s great learning about some of the older players I’d forgotten about, or never knew about.

  3. I’d say we have mostly learned that the research team for these cards were Miss Farmer’s kindergarten class!

  4. Great stuff Otis! Much appreciated. Fun look back in history in spite of these made-in-China cards that were researched & assembled by child laborers! Go Dawgs!!

  5. Yeah, that’s Glidin’ Glynn Harrison, and Nat Dye was pictured on the Glynn Harrison card.
