It sure seems that almost all of the teams that I hate with a fire-like passion wear some shade of orange. I have even added a couple this past year, and sure enough, they wear different types of orange. Just saying.
Orange is ugly
In the 1960s Dooley had s lot of guys from South Carolina. Back then each conference had its own academic eligibility requirements. The ACC requirements were higher than the SEC requirements ( which is why Joe Namath starred at Alabama and not Maryland) and and the Gamecocks were in the ACC along with Clemson. That gave UGA a recruiting advantage over Clemson and Carolina.
