In light of our most recent run in with the ACC, Kelee Ringo weighs in on Georgia’s (cough) “culture problem”:
I see why the culture problem narrative gained some legs (for the media’s narratives, anyway, seeking the next big Jan Kemp story) given the tragedy that happened after the Championship celebration.
As someone who works in systems and strategy analysis, I know your culture doesn’t build your system, but your system builds your culture. Kirby knows that, too, and I’m sure he’s on the mother (note: Etienne was witnessed doing extra conditioning, which I’m sure means he’s having to do sled drills with Stegman Coliseum on his back or something). I also realize you can only control what you can control, so to the extent that anyone can fully control the lives of young men with loads of cash and being the princes of the most beautiful university in the world can lead to some bad decisions, which CKS can’t completely control.
Regardless, knowing Ringo was the recipient of plenty of CKS fire in his day, the fact he has a humorous take on it suggests to me the culture is fine and Kirby does what he can to rectify it when something goes awry. (Editor note: that’s not really Ringo…oops).
I’d still like to see Etienne show up at the Dawg Walk on a horse provided by our Equestrian Team.
