MBG – biggest bag edition

Here’s the reason Texas Tech needs oil money.

I’ve never been to and never plan to go to Lubbock, Texas.

Even if Georgia never wins another national championship, Athens > everywhere else.

I've been a Dawg my entire life. UGA was always my dream school where I received 2 Terry College degrees and met my DGD wife. I've been a season ticket holder for over 30 years and love the in-stadium experience over anything from Section HD. My first game in Sanford Stadium was the 1981 Auburn game where we clinched the SEC championship. The best game I've attended in person was the Midnight Miss against Ohio State (nite, nite!). The best home games I've attended were the 1984 Clemson game (the Butler did it) and the 2013 LSU game (that 4th down is still the loudest single moment I've experienced between the hedges). The game I love to win is against the Handbags (FTMF), and the game I hate to lose is the NATS (Tuck Fech).

  1. Somebody needs to remind aybuddy777 where this fucker is coming from.

Lubbock will smell like fucking roses.

    Directions to Auburn:

Go South until you smell it. Go West until you step in it.

    I don’t care for Auburn.

  2. You know in those apocalyptic movies where the world has been destroyed and the survivors are stumbling around amid the ruins? That’s the model for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce beautification plan.

  3. ‪When he was a kid, my dad went riding on the farm with his hog-farming‬ uncle while visiting one hot summer. The porcine fragrance seeped into the pickup, prompting my dad to wrinkle up his nose and ask, “What is that awful smell?”

    Smiling, the uncle replied: “Money.”

  4. That’s not what those Yankee tourists said on 100+ degree July day when they got off I85 at the Jefferson exit and smelled that old chicken waste disposal plant cooking on high.

  5. We can compete, but to win another National Championship, Kirby is gooing to have to spend more money & do a better job out of the portal

    • I don’t get this take.

If we had stayed healthier than we did, is there a team left that we wouldn’t be favored to beat?

Isn’t that enough to endorse the current path?

      • We all have an opinion.
        I respect yours.
On my opinion, this loss was on the coaching staff.
        My post was looking forward.
        Best Regards

        • All I am saying is that we’ve done pretty well. I’m not seeing a need for wholesale changes in our approach to things.

No one else in America has earned a top 4 seed over the past two years.

We’re at the top doing what we’re doing. Injuries have hampered our chances in the postseason and despite them, we’ve won the sec back to back.

Not bad for a coaching staff that has somehow earned your animus.

          • right on. I will take what Kirby has been doing. Chaos will continue until something changes with the transfer portal landscape…if nothing changes…. going forward at the beginning of each season, betting on who wins the CFP will throwing darts blindfolded. No one will no what they’ve got until the season plays out.

  6. This kid is going to make serious bank with the desperate bidding war between Tex Tech and UT. Great player that should be eligible for the NFL draft.

  7. I have been to Lubbock I think in 1972, maybe ’73 and the only thing I remember is visiting a relative of my wife, and outside her house was a cornfield that I could not see the end of. Had a V8 motor they would crank up to run a pump so they irrigate the field from an aquifer.

  8. I was talking to former S&C coach John Kasay years ago and he mentioned a trip he took to Lubbock. He said it was like a less sophisticated version of Starkville where the wind never stops blowing.
