LOL, just kidding. I guess the poor Auburn player’s post game comments from Seth Emerson’s write up in The Athletic Saturday night struck a nerve* with me:
“We’re better than Georgia,” Auburn receiver Preston Howard said. “We’re better than every team we’ve played. But we’ve got to play well enough to win.”
He went on, summoning his Inner Phil Fulmer:
“They probably made their halftime adjustments. Everybody has good coaches. This is the SEC,” Howard said. But they didn’t do anything to stop us. We did that to ourselves.”
Ah, nothing like “we were the better team” to add some spice to the salty, salty tears.
