  1. Teams have been poaching our coaches for some time, but I doubt Schumann is ready for a HC job yet. But then again I didn’t really think that about Pittman, Lanning, McGee or Brown, so who knows? Maybe they will try to hire Clark Lea? 😉

  2. Sandusky is getting a pardon….

Anything to the rumors that the next guy is Key?

  3. Never has a coach achieved so little but been given the keys to a blue blood program. Oh well, the pedo’s have had their time in purgatory, now maybe they can move on.

      • I’m hip, but he’s only making $4.5 million, and there are other limiting factors at Tech.

  4. ESPN lists Dan Mullen as 1 of the top 5 replacements for Franklin. The only thing that would be funnier would be them hiring Sun Belt Billy.

    • I would think that Mullen would be a possibility as it would be easier to get him since it would be a move up from a small school in a small conference to a money conference with more resources.

  5. The first call, if it hasn’t already been made, is to Curt Cignetti’s agent. Cignetti has done more as a coach than just about anyone in college football today (including Kirby). Indiana is rolling and they look like they may be the best team in CFB right now. 17-2 at Indiana. Indi-f-ing-ana. The worst team in the history of college football. And barring a complete collapse this season, back-to-back CFP appearances. 52-9 at James Madison. Turned around both IUP and Elon while head coaching at those two places before James Madison (and both had had consecutive losing seasons and he immediately turned both around). He’s never had a losing season as a head coach at IUP, Elon, James Madison or Indiana. I don’t care that that his schedule his first season at IU was pitiful and they lost to the only team with a pulse on the 2024 regular season schedule. He’s done to IU and every other place he has coached what Bill Snyder did to Kansas State in the late 1990s but on steriods. I hope that Penn State has enough money to pay Franklin and afford what will be the largest contract in football, because I damn sure don’t want Cignetti in the SEC.
