A Quick Word on the Site

Greetings, Refugees. Based on yesterday’s post about GTP handles, it seems there have been some of us posting as anonymous due to site frustrations, then found that they could log in and see the handles again. Hopefully this is a sign of positive things that the gremlins (knock on wood) are a thing of the past and the site is back to full functionality. If you are posting as anonymous, give signing in a try again and see if it doesn’t work for you like it used to. Fingers crossed.

One request was to be able to see who liked a comment. I looked into this a while back and noticed that the previous plugin that allowed this to happen was no longer available. I’m not a coding expert, so we can continue to look in to it, but the tradeoff between tinkering with a plugin and possibly losing us again might not be worth it. Good news is, if we do tinker, I think we learned a trick or two from the last snafu to be able to restore the site if a plugin doesn’t work.

We’ll continue to look in to it, but until then, glad to see y’all still here.

  1. Maybe when we click “like” we can also post a reply saying “like” so folks know who clicked it until thr problem is solved.

  2. WP is the devil. As for the coding, I’d bet there is a way to get AI to do it for you but you’d have to be an expert in that!
