Thank You

I have to admit, when I reached out to Otis to be a contributor, I didn’t know how addicted to this work I’d be. That’s probably not a complete sentence, but I’m no editor. I just post my ramblings here and watch your comments.

Staying together this year was well worth it. GTP was my first news check everyday, before Dawgnation or anything else. GTP was my comfort zone, my happy place. Last night, I felt what I can only imagine is what the Senator felt…joy for all who follow.

Thanks to Otis for bringing us all back together. Thanks to all of you for continuing to follow. And thank God for Kirby Smart. We are living in high times. These are the good ole days, as our pappys say, and the times are good.

Keep hanging with us. Keep talking. And keep being ‘Dawgs. Last night was all right, all right, all right. So much so I pictured my youngest, named Georgia after the 2018 Rose Bowl game, giving the best salute to SEC/Georgia football in the modern era of the conference. We have a new rival.

Go ‘Dawgs.

  1. Thanks for doing this. I love having a sane place to discuss the Dawgs. If I ever want nasty, crazy and dumb band-wagon, I can go to my paid site and become more grateful for GTP.

  2. Uglydawg here….Thanks a zillion for this blog. We were truly lost when the Senator left us and now we have a place for to air and discuss our thoughts and hang out with each other on the keyboard! You’ve done well, Sir! The site/blog is getting better and better and better!
    WE LOVE OUR DAWGGIES!!!!!

    • We have to pray it into existence. She’s got her mom’s attitude and her dad’s mouth. Needless to say we are worried about getting calls from the principal!

  3. JP, you’re a DGD. It’s a pleasure to be teaming with all of you on content inspired by our content creator in perpetuity, Michael.

Raising them right … we have a Georgia in our home as well.

    Horns down!!

  4. Thanks so much for doing this. I know we were all drifting in the wind after the Senator passed. Just as GTP was the first thing I read in the morning, now GTPR is.

Oh, and them Dawgs is hell. Hell on their opponents. Hell on their own fans.

  5. Dude. That child is going to break some poor sap’s heart someday.
I’m re-watching it now (Went to the farm this am to watch the deer and sunrise) because overtime and bourbon made last night a little fuzzy.
I’m glad y’all picked this up. There will never be another Get The Picture but this is without question the best damn football blog currently on the planet. Go Dawgs.

  6. After the range of emotions last night, I’ll keep it simple. Thank you, and Go Dawgs.

  7. Never in the history of mankind have so few done so much for so many. Well done lads! And hope you have your porch rocking chair and shotgun ready to protect that one.

  8. Don’t know how many years I been following “Get The Picture”. First came across it when reading the Dawgbone. Senator did a hell of a job. And I loved it when his cranky old ass would get on some ass about their posting. I REALLY, REALLY appreciate you guys for keeping this thing going. I know I can come here and be we other people who love the dawgs as much as I do.

  9. JP, I am humbled by your words but, I have to put the appreciation right back at you and the rest of The Knights. I am not The Senator and certainly not as creative as he was. Without the rest of you this wouldn’t be the success it is! I look forward to working with all of you for years to come. Go Dawgs!

  10. Many thanks for you & all the other contributors who are doing so much to keep GTP & the Senators legacy alive. You guys are a national treasure.

  11. Thank You JP and Otis!!!
As with all of Life’s Journey’s we lost some good ones along the way. We lift of the Senator and Ranger’s Families with prayers of peace and love at this time of year and toast the empty Chairs at the table. We miss their wit and wisdom.
Every step along the way this site has continues true to its high purpose I’m sure they are smiling down on us.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
