Guess who’s back in the portal.
In honor Bear’s availability again in the portal, here’s an overdue Cleanser, brought to you by Aerosmith.
Released as the third single from the album Rocks in 1977 following the success of Aerosmith’s 1976 single “Walk This Way”, the song only made it to number 38 in the charts. Over time, though, it became not only one of the bands’ longstanding favorite hits but a staple of the classic rock genre. The growling tones and sexual undertones leaves “Back in the Saddle Again” listed as “heavy metal” and not as classic rock, if you can believe that.
The song and album was produced by Jack Douglas, who had once worked on Robert Kennedy’s senatorial campaign before securing a job at Record Plant, but as a janitor. He soon proved his worth as a producer and developed a deep and long-lasting relationship with the band, being dubbed the “sixth member” of Aerosmith, even contributing musically to some of the band’s productions.
Anyway, Bear Alexander is back in the market, though I have no doubt he won’t be Back in the Sanford Again, unless he comes as a defensive lineman for someone else out there, like Ole Miss or Tennessee.
Additional context:
He’s a loser and a quitter. FTMF
Smells like a “Same old song and dance” kinda’ thing…GO DAWGS!!
Schadenfreude is a “Sweet Emotion.’
Well played – post of the day!
Y’all see a trend here? Players that are in the portal usually aren’t worth a shit.
He was pretty darn good as the season went on his freshman year and made some plays in the national championship game against TCU. Deciding to leave Athens was a terrible decision.
I wonder if Bear is thinking “I could be showing myself ready for the draft at UGA right now.” Of course, it doesn’t sound like the young man does much thinking for himself. The guy he calls his father seems to be calling the shots.
Loser.
I hate to rag on a kid, but we dodged a bullet with this guy. It’s a shame to see someone waste that talent.
After the shots he took at UGA following his transfer, he deserves every bit of ragging given.
Justin Fields seemed to do it completely different. He said nothing negative about the coaches or the program after his transfer. He was even hanging out in Athens before the B1G decided to play in 2020.
Cannot, will not, or isn’t being permitted to see the long game in life. Type of person that could win the lottery and be broke in 5 years. I see this to an extent in my 16 year old despite my best efforts to the contrary. Makes money, spends money. Just the age they live in to a certain extent.
Zion Logue’s non comment comment last year when he left for USC pretty much said all you need to know about him.
“Trusting each other and leaning on each other,” Logue said on where the defensive line improved the most this spring. “I think everybody was trying to do selfish things at one point in time. But as camp went on, we’ve all molded and gotten more close. And I like that.”
A locker room cancer. They were not sad to see him leave.
