A commenter brought up the Fabris Pool and that is definitely a tradition I’d like to keep going. However, I never participated so, I do not know very much about it or how to set it up. I went back and reviewed the Senator’s initial post on it from last year (which is only 4 days shy from being a year ago). He provides a link to a site called “Fun Office Pools” but, without knowing his login, I’m not sure what needs doing from here.
So, those of you that have participated, perhaps you can clue me in or point me to the right spot to set this up. Thanks!
Go Dawgs!
I also have no idea, but it seemed like a friend of his (Peyton) did the work of putting it together. Obviously a friend of The Senator. Perhaps Peyton would do the work (or maybe just school you); Peyton sent out emails when The Senator passed. I can’t find mine to tell you how to contact him, but maybe you didn’t delete yours. Or maybe someone else here knows how to contact him.
I’ll email Peyton and see if he’s up for it.
I thought Peyton assisted with the Mumme Poll/Ranked Choice Voting? Or was he involved in the Poll and the Pool?
Could be right, figured I’d check with him.
Haven’t looked at it but pretty sure the Fun Office Pools site lets you setup a new one fairly easy. Then we all go sign in to it.
One of regular contributors has grabbed this bull by the horns. Look for an announcement in the coming days!
Excellent. My consistent failures in the fabris pool keeps me away from the bookies.
Now there is a crooked way to stay on the “straight and narrow”.
I was thinking about the pool today and wondering if someone was going to take on the challenge. Loved to pick but sucked at it.
What was the Mumme Poll and how did it work?
That is the Ranked Choice voting the Senator pushed as a better alternative to the AP & UPI polls. Here’s one of his posts with an explanation:

It’s the best damn fan ranking in the blogosphere. Hopefully, we can get it up and running with Peyton, who ran it for the Senator in the past.
Just ran a quick web search, there are Ranked Choice Voting spreadsheets available for download or at Google Docs (that’s Peyton’s place) that we could use if he is too busy or otherwise occupied?
