We would be remiss if we didn’t continue another storied tradition from Get the Picture, the Mumme Poll.
The origins and ideology of the Mumme Poll can be found on the Senator’s blog here. The simplified rules are as follows:
Mumme Poll voters submit ballots which consist of their top teams in the country, without ranking order.
The poll rankings are then compiled by means of approval voting; that is, the teams are ranked in the order of the total number of times they appear on all voters’ ballots.
There are no restrictions on the number of teams you choose to place on your ballot.
Do not submit more than one ballot a week.
The ballot can be accessed here…it’s my first attempt at this, so please contact us using the email in the ballot if you’re experiencing issues. For this week, we’re doing the standard voting, asking where you’re from, and seeing how many teams you believe will be on the November 5th CFP selections, to boot, so deadline today is tight…have your votes in by 8 pm this evening (sorry for the tight turnaround, scamps).
The MP is back. One of my favorite things about the season.
I voted only for Power 4 teams plus Notre Dame. No Big 12 team on my ballot, and only 1 ACC representative.
I’ll vote for all undefeated, then the one loss until I get to ten.
I look at the teams who at this point could make the playoff and be a team who could win at least one game.
Before now, it was always to me these were the teams that if they won out would be in the top 4 until the end where I voted for those who I believed warranted a shot at a title.
Are you even a ‘murican if you don’t give Vandy a love vote for this one? 😉
Proud to be a ‘murican. To the people saying they won’t for anyone that can make the playoff and who could win at least one game: Did you think Vandy could win some of the games they have won already? I’m just glad we don’t play them this year. Unless it is in the playoffs. Also voted for Army, Can’t get more ‘murican than that.
Vandy will be on every Mumme Poll Ballot I cast this season.
For the karmic retribution paid to the Tide, they should be an honorary #25 regardless of how the rest of the season turns out.
