  1. Maybe Musk found that his donations to TACO paid for itself by allowing him to get rid of the heads of all the agencies that were investigating his businesses. No conflicts of interest though. Totally above board. Believe me. Everyone says so.

  2. Foreign billionaire openly buys President and sees administration work with Congress to spend too much. Talking about George Soros. Difference is, Elon tried to stop the wasteful spending, Soros openly promotes more spending and socialism. So what exactly is your complaint? Mr. Smith went to Washington and discovered corruption everywhere. We’re only shocked he’s shocked.

    • Elon tried so hard! He went from 2 trillion to like maybe 30 billion? Results like that deserve all our respect. Especially after BigBallz came in and downloaded all our tax data for no nefarious reasons I’m sure.

    • Actually, Elon and his Doge boys went into the OPM on day one, had security kick everyone out except for a few who cooperated, hooked up a unvetted, non-gov server (highly verboten) and proceeded to download every bit of data they had. They also did this to the SSA, IRS, DOT (FAA was a biggie), and every other agency over a period of a few short weeks. The result is that every bit of data on every citizen, corporation, municipality, etc is now all in his hands and they are already selling it. Elon used this data to undercut Verizon on their contract with the FAA to build the new NAS telecommunications infrastructure, and already has Starlink contracts in place as a result. He didn’t save shit. He just padded his own pockets and is now just saying random shit to try and rebuild his image after Tesla sales and stock tanked due to public blowback. He is as corrupt as they come.

        • We all appreciate your detailed citations to the facts.

Can’t you at least make the effort of using AI?

        • One drinks from cups/glasses and eats from bowls/plates.

The good news is that we’ve drilled down closer to the underlying problem and it appears to be among those which are irreparable.

    • Complaints? No, all I have is applause:

      Two trillion in waste gone!

      Balanced budgets forever!!

Peace in Ukraine on Day One!!

      Free speech on college campuses!!

      No more lawfare!!

The worst of the worst GONE !!! https://www.yahoo.com/news/danish-dad-4-family-living-175909318.html Damn, that family looks evil…. I am succored by the little girl’s tears tho. They give me peace and hope.

Hell, even the founder of the Gangster Disciples got clemency!!

No more using public office for self-enrichment without the bragging and shamelessness that the endeavor deserves.

Finally, there is sanity and maturity in the white house!

So much winning!!! I’m exhausted with it really.

  3. What we have here, is a failure to communicate.
As happens so many times in hand shake agreements, both parties differ on the nature of the agreement. Elon thought his 300M was buying the presidency, the Donald sees the agreement as a rental-purchase with purchase price to be determined once true market value has been established. Itty bitty Qatar was able to pony up a 400M jet to start the bidding, which has changed the dynamic dramatically for Elon.
The big beautiful bill did not have carve outs for Mars Exploration, postal deliveries by Cybertrucks, or an impenetrable “Golden Dome” provided by Starlink.
It was time for Elon to admit he’d been snookered.
    It ain’t easy being sleazy.

      • As someone who worked in the environmental business for over 30 years, the EPA and state agencies have done something about benzene in groundwater. However, benzene is very easy to deal with. Other recalcitrant contaminants pose much greater risks, but I fear the EPA and other agencies have lost and may lose a lot of good people due to Doge, and cuts to cleanup and research will only make the world less safe. It’s not a big deal to a lot of people until they or their loved ones get sick.

        • If you have a private well you don’t have to worry about the “Government” water

          • Or “government air.” Anything connected to the USA is best avoided really.

      • And the Fluoride. Look what it did to poor Walter Goggins.

        • Very similar. True story, was traveling in NOLA one time and pulled into a McDonald’s to get a cup of coffee before making my first call. The coffee was “off” and not just because it was McDonald’s coffee. Checked into the hotel later and the water from the tap smelled funny. Watched the news and learned that the recent rains had caused a breach at a “holding tank” up in Baton Rouge. The concern seemed to be not that limits well above legal levels of Benzene was in the water, but that the public could smell it and were calling in and complaining. This would have been around 1980. I’m sure things are a lot better now. :~)

    • Jewish space lasers are next up!!

      Here’s how it works:

      Politician:

“Hey look you bunch of morons!!! Up there!!!!”

      Rubes stare agape at sky.

Politician takes advantage of distraction and stuffs cash into his and his paymaster’s pockets.

      Rubes:

“Buh, why we like broke and stuff?”

      Politician:

“You see if we cut taxes on the rich we will reduce the money the gubmit has to spend and that way the government will become smaller. Better. More efficient. Simultaneously, if we reduce taxes on the rich the economy will boom so the gubmit will take in even more money so the taxes pay for themselves.”

Rubes: Huh? Ain’t we like 37 trillion in debt or about 1 trillion for each year we’ve tried this “trickle-down” shit?”

      Politician:

“Can I interest you in a really scary story about trannies?”

Rubes excitedly, but unknowingly, enact an approximation of the witch burning scene from The Holy Grail.

  4. “Full transparency, I did not know about this section on pages 278-279 of the OBBB that strips states of the right to make laws or regulate AI for 10 years.”

“I am adamantly OPPOSED to this and it is a violation of state rights and I would have voted NO if I had known this was in there.”

    For fuck’s sake.

  5. I’m thinking this feature is just a salve for Derek’s raw butt cheeks from getting used and abused by the Bad Orange Man every day. Recent daily news articles have reported that homicide rates are down over 20% nationally, illegal border crossings are almost non-existent with resultant fentanyl seizures at an all time low, the trade deficit has been cut in half, Trumps approval rating continues to go up while the Democrats continue to crater (16% and falling like a stone), for the first time ever over 50% of Americans think the country is heading in the right direction, grocery prices continue to come down (Bud’s eggs are now cheaper than they were under Puddin Pop), gas prices are coming down, personal income is up .8%, inflation is lower than its been in 4 years, consumer confidence is rising weekly, over 7 trillion dollars in foreign investments have been procured due the those awful tariffs, and the GDP for second quarter is projected to be over 3%. Most Americans are extremely happy with these results, obtained in a little over 4 months since Trump’s inauguration. The fact Trump approved of what Musk said because he couldn’t say it himself without alienating congressional Republicans (who he needs in order to codify his goals) is totally lost on the left. To those morons, its just another “gotcha” moment that isn’t. Trump most certainly isn’t perfect, but he is orders of magnitude better than anything the other side can offer. And our quality of life continues to improve on a daily basis because of it. People who cannot or will not acknowledge that are not to be taken seriously, so I think I won’t. Have a nice day.

        • Ikr? The cbo has missed all of those surpluses and balanced budgets we were promised by the gop which would result from tax cuts for billionaires. Instead the cbo got it all wrong and said we’d be in lots of debt.

          Sad!

          • I know you think the hooker really likes you, but she doesn’t. CBO is run by partisan Democrat bureaucrats that, much like the hooker, tells Democrats exactly what they want to hear. The next CBO projection that doesn’t get revised will be the first one. Try harder.

          • Was that the same CBO that said the IRA that Biden passed would reduce inflation on day one and totally did the opposite the entire time? Well golly gee whatever will we do if we dont do what they say.

        • I don’t fully believe any politician, political party or media propagandist.

When you give up your own intellectual independence and ignore facts you end up in 37 trillion of debt built upon a demonstrable inconsistent argument:

That tax cuts on the rich reduce spending by necessity as it reduces receipts AND pay for themselves by increasing revenue.

You shouldn’t have had to wait 44 years for that shit to come crashing down upon itself.

But here we are. A few folks have all the money and most folks are shit broke.

Your brilliant answer to the problem:

          Whataboutism and keep digging.

You’re the poster child for the critics of self-government and lacking in any of the tools to understand why.

          • You are as full of shit as the proverbial Christmas turkey. EVERYTHING you see, read and hear from disgraced convicted liars is repeated as gospel in this thread by YOU. Every single link is to Politico, Axios, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Atlantic, etc, etc, etc. If you actually read what I have posted in the past regarding the national debt and trust in political parties (BOTH FUCKING SIDES) and the media, you would know that nothing in your “reply” makes sense or addresses any issue I have raised. I’m sure it sounded profound to you as you banged it out on the keyboard, but it’s just more deflection and bullshit that has no bearing on what I posted. News article today: CBO staffers have donated $0.00 to Republican politicians since 2000. I am not the one posting links to CBO estimates. But please tell me more about the lack of tools for people who call you on your bullshit.

  6. Quoting articles from Reuters and PBS is not the “own” you think it is. They are just as blind and just as far left of Mao as you are. And probably hate Trump more than you, if that’s even possible. You should really look into new information sources. Confirmation bias is a terrible thing.

    • The markets went way down after liberation day.

The markets rebounded after he TACO’ed on the tariffs.

There are no competing facts here. There are no competing sources of information. You are welcome to pull some out of the vastness of your farcical fantasies if you’d like.

But if a person who is a known liar with an iq of 59 says that sun rises in the east, you know he’s right, don’t you?

Or do you need Jesus to tell you the current weather conditions just in case the rain you are observing is a hallucination?

      • The market was 42,382.3 on April 2, 2025. At the end of business today, June 4, 2025, it is 42,519.64. I’ll hang up and listen……………………

        • The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) closed the week ending February 1, 2025, at
          44,544.66.
I’m just waiting for MTG’s daily picks newsletter so I’ll know when to short and when to buy. Not that “to tariff” or “no tariff” announcements could effect the market.
BTW, glad to see you logged in. Some of those “Anonymous” people are lunatics and I don’t want to lump you in with them. Have a good one!

  7. Two people of the same political party have a difference of opinion. Shocker? But they are the cult? What happens when a democrats speaks out of line? Ill hang up and listen.

    • When have they ever “gotten in line?”

There are a couple of old quotes that are instructive:

“I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.”

      -Will Rogers

“Bill Clinton once pithily captured the contrast between the two parties when it came to selecting a presidential standard-bearer: “Democrats want to fall in love; Republicans just fall in line.”

      – Mark Halperin

That may have changed a but now as republicans nominate today the person they find to be the very worst human on Earth a short time later: W, McCain, Romney. I predict they’ll add to that list very soon.
