Like many of you, save the fringe lefty lunatic losers, I appreciate the transparency of the current administration when it comes to matters of national security.  Maybe there is a law that says:

“Whoever, being entrusted with or having lawful possession or control of any …information, relating to the national defense, (1) through gross negligence permits the same to be … delivered to anyone. Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both” at 18 USC 793(f) but so what? Laws are after all for immigrants to follow.

These leaks are taken seriously, sometimes. So what that an ensign or a private would be in prison for the same activities?  The rules shouldn’t apply to a half-a-trillion dollar cabinet.  After all, what is the point of being rich and powerful if you have to be held accountable to the mere People?  No, what He commands, allows, or does not allow should be the whole of the law, if the president is a member of the Republican Party anyways.

The good news is the view from the south side of the Rubicon is fine and I trust that “they” (the billionaires who run our government and control the information they deign we deserve to have) know what’s best for us far more than we ever could know for ourselves.  Their demonstrable collective competence, infallibility and honesty brings comfort to us all.

  1. Let’s put aside the improper handling of classified information thing. I think Hillary and Trump should both be in jail right now for their own transgressions against that law (a civilian or military official would), but it is clear that the American voter doesn’t want to hold politicians to the same standard of law, so here we are.

    What is interesting about that leak is how it plays bare the isolationist views of Vance et al. The group that controls the GOP is now in direct opposition to the concept of Pax Americana that reached its Zenith under Reagan. Interestingly, that puts them in a very similar place as the radical lunatic left. I’m not sure we’re done with this realignment thing just yet…

    • 1) not sure I agree that the voting public decides criminal accountability. When it comes down to it the rules for the rich and powerful are different than for the rest of us and there does not seem to be much we voters can do about that.

      2) there is little doubt but that the insiders on team magat give us every reason to believe they would be on yesterday’s team fonda. The question is why? What is it about western democracies that these people loath? What is it about autocrats that they love? My supposition is that political egalitarianism: one man, one vote is offensive to them. Its definitional elitism in action. Rich = smart and competent and not rich = dumb/bad so obviously all decisions should be made by the rich. To the extent their lessers need to be hooked up to an algorithm to keep them in line, let’s do that too until theyre in the work houses and/or fully engaged serfs. The good news is that converting that line of thinking into long term political success has always been the challenge of the nascent fascist. Typically, they do one or more blatantly incompetent/short-sighted/stupid act(s) before the power grab has been completed. Then its rinse and repeat with new branding and packaging of the same old bullshit. See, “silent majority,” “kinder and gentler,” “tea party,” “maga.”

They have allowed over 50,000 Americans to die per year from fentanyl overdoses caused by their open border policy, advocated for uncounted unborn children each year to become the victim of women’s reproductive healthcare, and tried to codify the “right” for unknown numbers of living children to be subjected to sterilization and genital mutilation under the guise of gender affirming care. But they want you to know that mistakenly allowing a journalist to be in an encrypted Signals chat is the REAL problem here. They can’t defend the shit they do on purpose, so they attack the things their opposition does by accident. The possibility that something bad MIGHT have happened (it didn’t), because of an honest mistake will always be a greater priority for lefties than trying to justify the carnage and mayhem their ideology has perpetrated on humanity since it’s inception. Because Orange Man Bad or something.

    But I must say, watching the complete defenestration of the political left on a daily basis is a joy beyond describing. As more and more information becomes known about how completely disingenuous the left is about it’s so-called principles, their popularity, credibility, and most importantly, their influence, is cratering. Their pyramid of lies is collapsing so fast they cannot form a coherent argument in their defense. So we get garbage ” discussions” like this because dealing with the truth about the left’s perfidity is a mirror they refuse to look into. The good news is that more and more people are seeing what the left actually stands for and are rejecting it in record numbers. Hopefully, one day soon, these faculty lounge struggle sessions will be all that remains of a vile ideology that only enriches itself on the dead bodies of it’s victims. I will be forever grateful that I have lived to see this awakening. Every fucking day is Christmas morning, and I’m here for it.

Jeffrey Goldberg (a certified leftwing “journalist” who has a long and documented record of publishing fake bullshit articles regarding conservatives, Republicans, and President Trump) leading today’s 5 minute hate is almost comical. Journalists with political agendas are accurately called propagandists. This is just another piss poor attempt at deflection rather than addressing/explaining the real problems Americans face daily because of leftist policies.   24. If your intent was for thoughtful discourse today, I think you clearly missed the mark. I believe it was how you framed the discussion rather than the topic itself. I think a better question would have been:
    “Given the rhetoric surrounding Clinton and her servers and Biden and his unsecured classified documents, should the recent security lapses by the Trump administration be evaluated through the same lens.”

    The topic was presented with specific bias that created very little opportunity for thoughtful discourse.

    – Making matters worse, Alex Wong worked for Covington & Burling which is one of the law firms the President recently stripped of its security clearance and terminated all of their government contracts via Executive Order on February 25th, 2025. Trump accused CovingtonLLP of being involved in the weaponization of government.

    – Given the Chinese connections, it really makes you wonder if Jeffrey Goldberg was added to the Trump Signal chat on purpose as part of a foreign opp to embarrass the Trump admin on behalf of China.

    Jeffrey Goldberg said a “war plan” was released that contained “precise information about weapons packages, targets, and timing.”.

    THAT WAS A LIE.

    What Goldberg actually released—something he could have shared from the start—is not a “war plan.” There are no names, no specific targets or locations, and no coordinates. It basically just says some F-18s will strike a terrorist somewhere today.
