      • The Posse Comitatus Act (PCA) outlaws the willful use of any part of the Armed Forces to execute the law unless expressly authorized by the Constitution or an act of Congress. The Constitution does not expressly allow it and Congress will not authorize it. Even if they did, most members of the military would not turn against the citizens they have sworn to protect. The minute we start using the military to enforce law is the minute we cease to be a free, democratic nation.

    • FJB calls half the country “garbage” while Heels up Harris compares Trump supporters to Nazis. Hillary calls Trump supporters deplorable and irredeemable. But a joke about Puerto Rico sends their collective little minds into a tizzy. It is almost funny.

      • Which is better than the country being a garbage can obviously. I mean we are all in the garbage can that is the United States and that insults no one at all. Not half. Not all. Zero.

        To be clear, Trump’s chief of staff and the head of the joint chiefs of staff, both decorated Generals, said those things first.

        Meanwhile Trump routinely compares his opponent to Bernie, Marx and Mussolini because how does it help to know the difference?

        • If you did not know how to take words out of context you would have no words to say. Derek you and I will never see eye to eye. I did my time in the USN. I worked the blue collar trades. I am a conservative. I know you despise the latter, the first two I am not sure of. Either way, you go pull the blue lever and I will pull the red. Good day to you Sir.

          • Let’s just hope that the enemy within, like myself, are eliminated with great dispatch so that the blood poisoning can stop and America can be great again like it was after the last great purge of the unhygienic savages. Maybe some will be of use in the labor camps. I don’t know why we can’t have a friendly disagreement about my elimination from the face of the earth without being accused of being irrational and lacking in writing skills. I just respectfully disagree that the military should come after next January. But I understand there is room for another viewpoint on that.

          • My dad was in the USN and part of the largest antifa protest of all time. He was on the USS Texas on DDay. To the veterans of WWII, being anti-fascist was the right side of things. I do not understand what’s going on now.

  2. We’re letting our videos do the hard lifting today, which I guess “seeing” is sometimes believing. Of course there is that old joke about the husband caught flagrante delicto by his wife who entreats, “Are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?”
    I was watching the Netflix documentary “Mr. McMahon” and low and behold, who should raise his ugly head (with more hair), the Donald.

    The essence of the documentary is how McMahon built fairy tales of good vs evil characters to engage the public. I was living with my grandparents in the early 60’s and I remember how we had to turn the TV antenna away from Atlanta to Chattanooga to pick up the “wrasslin'” show for my grandmother. She was addicted to the show and her body would actually jerk and move with the movement on the screen. She hated some fellow that wore a turban almost as much as the fellow wearing the German helmet and it was fascinating to watch the calmest, sweetest person I’ve ever known to work herself into a lather over something that was clearly choreographed.

    Long personal story to say I think that the Donald learned something a long time ago from a master showman that he has exploited to the nth degree. Something that is clearly a scam, a ruse, a fugazi, to most of us, has resulted in violent attempts to overthrow our government and a willingness by a large portion of our population to subjugate our rights to the whims of a TV character. A fake, who as the video shows, relies on others to do his fighting and leaves the ring when it starts to get real.

    • If there is a funnier long comedy bit than Andy Kaufman’s entry into pro wrestling in Memphis, TN, I am unaware of it. If you haven’t watched the hour or so of that, do.

      The sad thing is that it actually ruined his career because too many people weren’t in on the goof and thought he was serious.

      One of the things we are going to have to confront, should the republic survive, (we’ll see what happens!) is how we can have free speech in the internet age and those inalienable rights not, in practice, become a constant threat to national security.

      The free market of ideas must survive, but we have to find some path towards insulating the country from nefarious foreign influence.

      I can’t help but speculate about what James Angleton and J. Edgar Hoover would have thought or done, legal and otherwise, about US citizens regurgitating Russian intel talking points, for power and profit no less. I also can’t help but reflect upon the very same political ideology endorsing shipping millions of US soldiers to South Korea (still there!), Vietnam and Iraq (twice), yet are unwilling to support a nation under attack who is more than willing to do the fighting and dying themselves. The absurdity of it all has been eye opening to say the least.

      Makes me want to see a band of pro-western, pro-democratic, pro-capitalist Cubans land somewhere on that island and after they’ve established some territory and a front and local support, and are under assault by Russian and Chinese and Iranian weapons, look at these short sighted assholes and say: now what? Have you found a clue yet? Or is cranialrectosis incurable? Would you rather do what Putin wants and have us look the other way while they’re mowed down? Or we could just send some surplus stock down there and help these folks out like the French did for us in our time of need?

      That our own commitment to a people yearning to breathe free is subject to a serious debate just underscores how upside down the world has become.

      Would Vietnam have ever been unpopular if South Vietnamese soldiers were willing to fight, die and kill NVA while we did nothing but provide the weapons? In short there was a time when 98% of us would be cheering on Ukraine. After all not very long ago we were often too damn willing, in my view, to do the fighting for other people.

      Now one of the two major candidates can’t publicly identify the “goodies” in the battle for Kiev. Wtff?

        Obviously, Jerry Lawler would have broken Andy in half, as would most of the women Andy wrestled. Creating a parody of a “pretend” sport that was ingrained in the psyche of Americana was dangerous for all parties. You’re right, it was hilarious, but may have been so prophetic to what we’re seeing today.

        TIL that McMahon was the source for “You’re Fired!” and had been using it for years before DJT turned it into a reason for voting for him. I guess it just reinforces my conviction that the Donald has never had an original successful thought.

        I’ve come to a new conclusion about people that recognize the danger he poses but can’t bring themselves to vote for the “colored woman.” They’re afraid she’ll be successful. Who knows where that could lead? In the words of Archie Bunker, “Good night nurse, a Jew.”
