Howard is an awful play by play announcer, much better as a pre game guy. I wish MATT Stinchcomb was the color guy.
I’m pretty sure Matt is busy at SEC Network. He and Ben represent sanity at ESPN.
Following a legend is never good. Scott wasn’t my favorite but I’ll give him credit for lasting almost two decades as the play-by-play announcer for Georgia. I always thought West Durham would have been great replacement for Munson. He has a certain down-home style.
I like Wes Durham too, but he is an ACC guy.
Isn’t Wes a Tech guy? Why not get Al Ciraldo while we’re at it?
Wes is a UNC guy. He broadcasted Tech, but his dad was the Munson of North Carolina, Woody Durham.
I’m glad Dantzler is the pick, but still surprised that Howard is out, and that it wasn’t his choice. I saw on Georgia Dogs dot com that Howard will still be the voice of the men’s basketball team
Wow. This is only the second change since I was a boy. I feel a bit guilty for wishing it to happen in the past. Best wishes to Scott, who, we all can tell, really loves the Bulldogs. I just want to be able to tell what is happening on the field if I am listening on the radio.
Should have gotten a real radio pro and (Atlanta) local Brian Katrek even if he is a golf guy. Great voice, humor and knowledge of broadcasting.
