For all the crap we hear about moving violations (yes, it shouldn’t happen, but raise your hand here if you’ve been tagged by the ACCPD at least once if you went to UGA or lived in Athens – note: hand raised) it’s interesting how much things are being overlooked from the rich history that is Michigan Wolverine football in the Harbaugh error. Pun intended.
Yet he has an NFL job. Mind you, it’s not on the level of more egregious things we’ve seen from State Penn or in other areas of college football, but it definitely is a level above what happens on the Loop in Athens, Georgia.
So why do we get the worst press while the Wolverines get a pass? Is it media bias? B1G hush money?
Penny for your thoughts.
Wow! That’s Corch Irvin Meyers level integrity!
Press says with us it’s a culture problem and a pattern. While is not good, it does involve young men with too much money too soon. Michigan involves supposedly more mature men. Me thinks the water may be Green. Big? Is the gold standard, or so we hear!! FTMF’s!!
The northeastern Yankee sports media covers for their own. Michigan is part of that. If an SEC national title contender cheated the way Michigan did with Conor Stalions, ESPN would have had reporters and camera crews hiding in bushes to interrogate a university president, athletic director and coach until they were gone. They would have convinced the suits in Indianapolis to drop the hammer on the offending program.
It’s Michigan where a bunch of them went to school or knew people there, so crickets.
Like Jeremy Schapp jumping out from behind a car?
This right here. “Elite” northern sports “journalism” degrees trump rednecks.
To begin with, reporters are the laziest people on earth. Throw in the lousy cold snowy winters in Michigan, and of course they’re not going to bother reporting on the programs up there. Under those conditions, even a f’n parking ticket anywhere in the south turns into major news.
I’ll take the back-to-back championships…and the heat that comes with it. It’s like why does nobody write about problems at Wisconsin, or Minnesota, or 95% of the other teams? Because nobody cares…
And we’ll still suffer sport’s media blurt out “he’s a Michigan man” as if its a badge of honor.
Fuck ‘em.
Only substance worth reporting in those meeeshigun waters, are floating turds, with meeeshigun ass holes elevating said turds….if 2023 meeeshigun was worth a real shit, they would say to UGA football, lets you and we meet in the mofo parking lot for the trophy, cause that ass whippin’ meeeeeshigun got at the urunge bowl had to have stung to their core, they thought they were good, media types spewed they were good , UGA football said they were 34-11 good (really 34-3, but i digress), with that event being over mid-way in the 2nd quarter…GO DAWGS!!
“Elite” media love to dump on us rubes from the South.
