  1. The irony of a Democrat being one of the most effective members of Trump’s cabinet has to be extremely painful for the progressive true believers. Rather than cherry pick a single paragraph from the tranche of documentation released by the ODNI, I would suggest reading through the entire batch, then waiting on the follow up documents being released today to refute the total deflection (without addressing ANY of the facts) of Chicago Jesus on Tuesday. Most of what was revealed was already common knowledge; now we have the paper trail and a lineup of all the participants. I would also suggest reading some recent postings from lefty journalist Matt Taibbi. Even progressives, or at least the sane ones, know the excrement has hit the impeller. And while actually having the documentation of the treasonous activity of the 2 prior Democrat administrations is fantastic, I have no illusions that anyone of consequence will ever wear the orange jump suit they deserve. Perhaps it’s greater value will be exposing the Democrat party for the traitorous mob of vermin they are and putting paid to the “saving democracy” bullshit they hide behind daily. They are a criminal enterprise based on lies and thievery, sustained by grifters and hoaxers, sucking the soul out of every institution they infect. The sooner we are rid of them the better.         • From what I can tell from the Supreme Court, Obama could have had the president-elect renditioned to an undisclosed black site for reasons of national security and faced no possible consequences other than impeachment.

          And of course McConnell would have delayed the entire process and voted “no” because it was so late in the term.

That first link shows only that the Obama administration felt that Russia was not capable of actually changing the votes being cast….BUT, it is clear they had evidence that Russia was definitely trying to affect the election through many other cyber related means. It is also clear that Trump associates were working with Russia on that.

      I do believe that in our “two” party system, both parties are manipulated by the uber wealthy and that any meaningful legislation that impacts their wealth and power will never see the light of day. I do feel that the Democrats do a bit better job about looking out for the welfare of the general public than does the Republican party. I am very thankful for the affordable Care Act as I know many people, including family members, who would have been completely F’d without it as they received critical treatment without being bankrupted.

      That alone is worth favoring one party over the other in my view.

      • I the mid-1980s I got a scuba diving job diving on Gray’s Reef offshore of Georgia. We were getting our tanks filled, which takes awhile, at a scuba shop in Savannah, and the owner asked us if we’d seen the big yacht docked in the river downtown. He said it was Trump’s yacht, and his people had been to his shop where they bought several thousand dollars worth of scuba gear including BCs, tanks, regulators, a compressor, etc. They paid with a check that bounced. The owner started hearing from other business owners complaining that Trump was bouncing checks all over town and when the businesses demanded payment, he offered to settle for about 2/3 of the bill. Once a grifter, always a grifter.

          I have a friend who’s tank was leaking at some depth during a tandem. His friend and he had to share the regulator(?) or thing that goes into your mouth emitting the air all the way back to the surface. No one panicked and they have fun telling the story.

          Sounds a little dangerous but surely a fun sport to get into.

          • It’s never too late to scuba, but I actually prefer snorkeling these days if there’s something to see. No messing with tanks and boats is a big benefit.

      • In truth, the usfl was more foolishness than a grift. He thought playing in the fall and filing an antitrust suit would force a merger and the Generals would become an NFL franchise. Instead, they won $1, tripled under law to $3, divvied up equally amongst the owners and the league folded.

        So the lesson is that somethings he does are grifts and some are plain dumb. None are motivated by anything but narcissism.

        Sadly, and PT Barnum knew long ago, there are marks aplenty in these here United States.

        • I can see that point but I lean toward the USFL as being a con because deep down Trump was motivated by his own greed and not what was best for the other owners, the league (players, coaches and support staff.) Trump has long wanted to be an NFL owner (that alone can spark a lot of commentary) and he saw converting to a fall schedule as a way to force the merger and/or give him a big payout. The USFL had teams in Arizona, Baltimore, Birmingham, Jacksonville, Memphis, NJ, Orlando and Tampa. The Tampa team was a new team formed with new ownership because the original Bandits owner John Bassett (who famously hated Trump) wanted to keep playing in a Spring League and ended up dying of brain cancer in the Spring of 1986. Why would the NFL have merged with the USFL with that roster of teams? The Bidwills were already contemplating moving the Cardinals to Phoenix. Both the Giants and Jets were playing in NJ. Tampa had the Bucs. Baltimore was viewed as a failed football town which Art Modell used to keep an expansion team out of Baltimore a few years later.) They only remaining market that made sense was Jacksonville which got an NFL expansion team a few years later. As a con man, Trump figured he had the only legitimate holding that could coax an NFL ownership seat or a big payday from a merger. He conned his compatriots but the NFL and the jury put the kibosh on his scam.

  3. So, Trump wants to refute the published findings of his own administration written by a committee headed up by Marco Rubio, currently heading up the Trump state department. Okay. The man will never get over the fact that Putin tried (unsuccessfully) to help him out and that he actually lost to Joe Biden who, quite frankly, ran a pathetic campaign. He’s simply dredging up a litany of his past grievances in a desperate attempt to get people to stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein. Mike Johnson sent the House home early so they would not have to address the fact that Republican lawmakers were ready to publicly address the situation and ask the Trump administration to release the files that, checks notes, Trump acolytes have been saying for years exist and need to be released. Pam Bondi passed out binders and promised to fill them. Time to deliver the goods. That’s the problem with conspiracy theories. It’s difficult not to be consumed by the very fire you started. Plan B appears to be “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.” Instead, here’s another of your favorite conspiracy theories from my stable of greatest hits. Everyone loves leftovers!

I’ve only had a chance to skim the new docs as I am still reading through Friday’s and Monday’s. Doesn’t look good for Derek’s team though. Wouldn’t it be fabulous that after 10 years of a fake ass, foaming at the mouth progressive rage-fest over Orange Man Bad, the villainous scum who concocted, disseminated and then perpetuated this hoax ended up in ORANGE jump suits?
