You think Kirby didn’t notice the lack of on-field leadership last year?

Let’s hope the blue flame makes the opposition wish they’d brought their brown pants.

Go Dawgs!

  1. The best leaders are the ones that lead by example. Just appointing leaders doesn’t work if the rank and file doesn’t respect and admire them.

    • I’d rather know the team leaders have been identified and Kirby pulled them aside to really challenge them to get everyone on the same page. Ideally someone for each position group to set the example on and off the field. Problem is your QB…if they just aren’t a true overall leader then things can be disjointed.

  2. I disagree. Leaders are made just like muscles are developed in a weight room. The leadership development curve is accelerated when individuals are coached and challenged with the right experiences. Letting the “natural leaders” bubble up during the offseason/season is a great recipe for disappointment. Planning and executing a leadership development program leads to better leaders in much less time.

      • meh. I mean its good I guess…former SeALs run it…if you want to learn how to wear sunglasses and have the best hair and be a social media whore…then that’s good I guess. I do think hard work together can build camaraderie but like I said they do this every year.
